This week...CONFERENCIA! Oct. 5 2015
The BEST thing that happened this week was CONFERÊNCIA GERAL! But I had to watch it in Portuguese. So I think I will learn more when the Ensign comes out in English. But I loved the talks this time! AHH!
This week I had a lot more heartaches. Graça told us that we are no longer welcome in her house. And it was really sad because I saw the change in her life. But she talked to her preacher from the assembly (he is the same preacher as Fabio). This has been hard because we are trying to work here in the city but Fabio and Graça are working against us now. And people don’t even want to talk to us. BUT I know that it will get better! And there is this video that I watched. Called the Espição de missionario. You can look it up on YouTube. This really explains a LOT about the atonement of Jesus Christ. And how we are all going to face trials in our life. But we really have nothing to complain about. One day we are going to ask just like was mentioned in the women’s session. ´´Was that all that was required of us? ´´ Because this really isn’t all that much in comparison to the sacrifice that Jesus Christ suffered for all of us. I am so grateful that I have this opportunity to learn just a little bit of the love that Heavenly Father has for all of his children. And a little bit of the sorrow that he feels when he is rejected by them. No it won’t be easy. But as Jeffery R Holland said. Salvation was NEVER easy.
Love you all!

This week...another holiday on PDAY oct. 12 2015
Today is another holiday and I don’t have a lot of time so this is going to be short.
Conference was AMAZING! I didn’t get to watch the first session because the internet in the chapel was bad. But the rest I got to read the subtitles in English. And it was REALLY cool!
We are teaching a lot of families right now that have not gotten married yet, so hopefully in the near future I will have lots of wedding stories! HOW TRUNKY!
I was also reading some old talks from conferences and I wanted to share 2 things with you guys this week!
The first is a talk from President Uchdorf. And he was talking about how there is room for everyone in the church. That no matter where you are in life there is room for you. And he told a story about a man in a room talking to people of all different religions. And when he talked with a couple representing The Church the couple told about all of the things that we do in the church. All of the activities. The camps. The service. The different groups. General conference 10 hours 2 times a year. And more. 3 hours of church every Sunday and MORE. And the man asked why anyone would want to join a church that requires so much.
And the other talk was this year in April. I don’t remember who was saying it but he said something more or less like this. That you cannot accidently have a testimony just like you cannot accidentally go to church or accidentally pay your tithing or accidentally pray. You have to do something!
And this is what I want to share with you today. That this is not a church of sitting back and waiting. Going to church for 3 hours and then forgetting what you learned. This is not like this. This church, this gospel is a way of life. It is something that we do every day. We need to be actively engaged in a good cause continuously striving to do well. Because if we do not we will actively fall into a ditch that will be hard to get out of. So this week go out and do something different. Visit someone you have never visited. Invite THE WHOLE STREET to a family home evening in your house. And SEMPRE SEMPRE live the gospel. Don’t just study it. And know all the answers. Be living proof that this is the TRUE church. That families can be together forever. That God is our loving heavenly father. That we can have real happiness here on earth. We are the proof, the living breathing proof. And we always need to be living in accordance with this knowledge.
I love you all so much! And I think I have hit that point in my mission where I miss home but I am scared to leave my mission because I love it so much! I love Canguaratama and all of the people here! I will seriously BAWL when I am transferred. But I still have a LOT of time here! And that is good!
Love you all! Thank you for all of you noticias from this week! And motivational emails! You give me a lot of strength to work week to week!
Até mais!

This week was really cool! I got to do a division with our sister trainers leaders that are in Natal! But not only natal. Like downtown Natal! It was SOOO cool! Loved it and hope I will be able to do that again! I ate Pizza that was REALLY GROSS! Pizza with cheese and chocolate! Was nice for 3 days! And then we are SHRIMP! With Elder Mehl and Elder Harris! Who are SOOOO cool! Minha Nossa! I love this area! Met a lot of great people. We were almost assaulted. But I think that is the life in anywhere downtown when you look SOO different from everyone else! But it was great! Words cannot describe it! Pictures cannot either because I STILL DONT HAVE A CAMERA! But I hope I will soon! I will talk to Lessandro again.
And I won a hede! A hammock! How legit!
Love you all so much!

Division de NOVO?!?!?!?!? October 26, 2015
So last P day after email I got another phone call saying that we are going to do another division this week until transfers. And that we need to pay again and go to Natal. Sister B Perera is in Alecrem this time and I am in Cidade Verde. But I am with Sister Porter from Morgan Utah. (My first American companion) and Sister Nunes from Sao Paulo!
But 5 mins before we got the phone call from the assistants we got 5 news letters about our area. About members that are separating themselves from the church for a while and members that are strong in the church that are moving to Recife. And I am not really sure what I going to happen because there are not very many people that are staying strong. So we are going to work a little bit more on strengthen the Branch. That will be next transfer.
I think I am getting fatter in this city because everywhere we go people give us food! And the area is small and we do not have time to work off the food. So perhaps I will stay in Canguaratama. But I love Cidade Verde! The people here are so great and I am praying that one day I will pass here for real. :)
So now I am in Cidade Verde. With little money because I had to travel A LOT THIS LAST 2 WEEKS. But all is well. I am meeting a lot of new people and my BFF da missão! Sister NUNES I AWESOME! I really want to pass in an area with her! We made rain cake and French fries the other day! It was GREAT!!!
Love you all!
Until next week!
